Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a process that destroys the follicle to remove body hair. When laser beams are directed at unwanted growth on the skin, they can either be absorbed for energy or reflected into space to reduce injuries.

Patients with pale skin and coarse, dark hair are typically the best candidates for laser hair removal. Due to the technological advancements that are constantly changing the world of lasers, they can now work with lighter hues.

It is common for patients to remain hair-free for months or even years after treatment. If some of the hair regrows, it is likely to be less noticeable. Maintenance laser treatments may be necessary to keep the area hair-free.

Typically, you can expect a reduction in the hair from 10% to 25% after your first treatment. Most patients require two to six laser treatments to remove their hair. In most cases, patients do not see hair on the treated areas for several months or even years after the treatment is finished. There tends to be less hair when the hair regrows.
